🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On August 23, 2009, several witnesses in Saint-Germain-du-Puy (Cher) observed four bright points high in the sky. These objects moved forming geometric shapes that caught attention. Although only one witness contacted the GEIPAN, the description was too vague for a serious investigation. Researchers suggested they could have been four helium balloons reflecting sunlight. The geometric patterns could be explained by the movement of the balloons with the wind. However, there was no concrete evidence to confirm this hypothesis. The case was analyzed in 2012, too late to verify balloon launches, and was classified as "C" due to lack of information.
