UFO seen in Morzine in 2009

Summary

In August 2009, a witness in Morzine observed an orange-red object that quickly crossed the sky from southeast to northwest. The object left no visible trail and was seen for only 2 to 3 seconds. Just 15 minutes later, the same witness recorded a second similar appearance, this time lasting only a second. Although a fireball or meteorite fall was considered, the lack of a visible trail and the brevity of the sightings raised doubts. The GEIPAN found no additional confirmations, which limited the credibility of the case.

The C classification reflects the low consistency of the report due to the lack of independent witnesses and data imprecision.
