An UFO sighting occurred in San-Martino-di-Lota, on the island of Corsica, during the night of August 30 or 31, 2009. A witness observed two blinking and static lights above the sea from his terrace. Using binoculars, he noticed the lights were connected by a flat, elongated structure resembling a bar. The object remained visible for 20 to 30 minutes before disappearing toward the east. Although the witness sketched his observation on a photo, no other witnesses or confirmations were obtained. The estimated time of 2:30 AM was not verified by the investigator, and conventional explanations such as star reflections or boat lights were considered unlikely. However, the lack of consistency in the testimony and the inability to confirm the presence of lights on the sea surface led to the case being classified as "C", meaning no clear conclusion could be drawn.
