In January 2010, a witness in Saint-François-Longchamp reported between 7:42 and 7:45 a group of blinking white lights near the summits of the Grosse Tête and the Grand Miceau. The phenomenon moved slowly and disappeared behind the landscape. The investigation revealed that about 1h40 before the observation, a radiosonde was launched near the Saint-Exupéry airport. The most plausible explanation is that the lights were reflections of the rising sun on the weather balloons. The case was classified as B, indicating a probable observation of a balloon train.
