In April 2010, three people in Ouessant observed a luminous phenomenon in the sky. The event occurred at 23:00 and was seen from a tower overlooking the ocean. The observers, who were conducting professional maritime surveillance activities, took photographs using a telescope. Although the object showed characteristics similar to those of Venus, such as its intense brightness and trajectory, its appearance was not considered particularly strange. The consistency among the testimonies and the astronomical verification strengthened the credibility of the case.
The GEIPAN classification assigned the case level A, indicating high consistency. Despite the similarity to Venus, the observers noted details that did not fully match a planet. However, the confirmation of Venus's position in the sky during the observation period left little doubt. The case remains interesting due to the precision of the data and the agreement among the three witnesses.
