In April 2010, a witness in Menton (France) reported seeing a white and yellow luminous sphere above a neighboring residence. The object moved slowly and in a straight line toward another home before quickly disappearing into the sky without making any noise. Although the witness compared its shape to an airplane seen head-on with its landing light on, he emphasized that the object was silent and unlike any he had seen before. Initially, the case was classified as "C" due to lack of information. However, after a suggestion from an internet user, the GEIPAN confirmed that the observation matched the International Space Station (ISS) passing over the area. This led to the case being reclassified as "A," meaning explained.
