Summary

A witness in the Charente region of France reported in May 2010 the presence of luminous points in the starry sky. Initially, they observed a bright point accompanied by a red point to their right and a green point below it. All three objects moved together, leading the witness to think it was an airplane. However, the points suddenly separated and moved in opposite directions, which seemed unusual. While the beginning of the observation could be explained as a star or planet with atmospheric effects, the sudden separation did not match any known phenomena. The GEIPAN concluded there was not enough reliable information or corroboration to provide a definitive explanation, classifying the case as C.
