Beynes 2010, Venus observation and other light phenomena

Summary

On May 24, 2010, a witness in Beynes (France) observed a very bright static yellow point from the first floor of their home. They called their parents, who also saw it, and two photos were taken with a digital camera. The phenomenon lasted 45 minutes with no unusual sounds. The witness mentioned other past light phenomena, though without specific dates. The May 24 observation was identified as Venus. Other cases were likely stars such as Mars or Sirius, and some points seen through binoculars were explained as optical aberrations or atmospheric effects.
