Summary

In 1953, the CIA formed a scientific panel to investigate unidentified flying objects. This group included prominent experts such as Lloyd Berkner, Samuel Goudsmit, and others. After their deliberations, the panel presented conclusions and recommendations included in a report. Years later, the Air Force requested the declassification of part of this report for use in the press. However, there was some resistance to revealing certain sensitive details, especially the connection between the panel and the Agency.
