Summary

On June 3, 2010, at around 0:45 AM, a witness in Mordelles (France) saw a ball of light in the sky that caught their attention. The object remained stationary for about 15 to 20 seconds, without making any noise, before fading away. Due to the classification of similar cases as "C", an internet user suggested to GEIPAN that it might be an "Iridium flash", a phenomenon caused by sunlight reflecting off Iridium satellites. After verifying this hypothesis, investigators concluded that the witness's description matched a real event of this kind. Although the testimony did not include details about the object's altitude in the sky, it was considered sufficient to classify the case as "A", attributed to the satellite phenomenon.
