On July 30, 2010, several people on the beach of Golfe-Juan observed a fast and silent white luminous object passing through the sky. Only one witness account was collected, describing a very bright ball moving at high speed for about 1.5 seconds before disappearing. The characteristics matched those of a large meteor. The GEIPAN classified the case as B, meaning a probable meteor observation. Although the testimony was unique, the description aligned with what is expected from a common astronomical event.
