On July 13, 2010, at 23:27, a witness observed three orange lights arranged in a triangle about 150 meters in the sky, forming a dark mass between them. The formation moved slowly and silently in a straight line. Despite the high population density in the area, no other reports were received. GEIPAN investigators considered the possibility of Thai lanterns, common in the region during July festivals. The dark triangular shape was interpreted as a common perceptual illusion. The case was classified as B—likely explained—due to the single witness and lack of detailed information.
