Tenteling 2010 UFO classified as wedding lights

Summary

A witness in Moselle observed about thirty luminous objects flying under the clouds on August 29, 2010, around midnight. From the first floor of his home, he saw the objects slowly moving from the horizon toward the zenith before disappearing behind the urban landscape. The witness recorded a video with his phone, but the quality was poor and did not accurately reflect the observation. No significant noise was heard, only occasional low rumbling. The gendarmerie and GEIPAN received a single testimony, accompanied by documents and a video similar to other cases of lights, such as Thai lanterns. Although the witness's drawing didn't clearly show luminous points, a private investigation concluded it was 60 lanterns launched during a wedding in the village. GEIPAN classified the case as "A", attributing it to wedding lights.
