🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
A witness in Comercy, France, observed on September 1, 2010 at 21:58 an object of dark red color passing very quickly above him. The object moved from north to south for three seconds, without making any noise. Due to the brevity of the sighting and the lack of details, the description of the phenomenon remained vague and unclear. Although genuine, the testimony was not supported by an official police report, which limited any further investigation. The C classification indicates that the case lacks sufficient elements to be considered significant.
The GEIPAN, the French organization in charge of studying unidentified aerial phenomena, considered the level of "strangeness" and the consistency of the testimony to be low. The witness, who admitted to being interested in observing similar phenomena, failed to precisely describe the object's shape. The absence of an official police report made it difficult to validate the observation. In the end, the case was closed without further analysis, as there was not enough information to continue the investigation.
