In November 2010, a witness in Menton filmed a black object in a cloudy sky. When zooming in with his camcorder, a dark object appeared moving smoothly. Upon reviewing the footage, investigators thought it might be a helium balloon. The direction of movement matched the southeast wind, supporting this theory. Although the case was not considered strange, it was deemed somewhat consistent. It was finally classified as a type A case.
