UFO in Haut-Rhin, luminous points and balloons

Summary

On December 3, 2010, a driver and his passenger observed several bright white points with violet reflections in the sky. The phenomenon gradually disappeared, causing some concern. However, the investigation revealed that a humanitarian association had organized a balloon launch in the area. These balloons, filled with helium, carried small luminous devices from Switzerland. Although no photos were taken, confirmation from the town hall of Riedisheim fully clarified the case. This is a classic example of how a conventional event can appear inexplicable at first glance.
