🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
A witness in Meyrignac-l'Église observed a very bright white ball that seemed to approach before quickly disappearing into the sky. The phenomenon was so brief that no particular noise was heard and no other witnesses were present. Despite the detailed description, the GEIPAN concluded that it was likely a reflection of sunlight on an Iridium satellite. This type of event, known as an "Iridium flash," is common and occurs due to sunlight reflecting off the satellites in the Iridium constellation. For this reason, the case was classified as "B," indicating a probable observation of this phenomenon.
