On April 2, 2011, several people in Besançon (France) observed a group of silent orange spheres moving through the sky. Witnesses described how they suddenly disappeared, initially raising some concern. Although initially considered an unexplained phenomenon, the description matched that of traditional Thai lanterns, which float with the wind and last less than 20 minutes. A new release was recorded a week later, reinforcing the hypothesis that it was a human-made event. Despite this, the individuals responsible for the launch were never identified.
