On April 21, 2011, in Coudekerque, France, several people observed a series of orange lights moving in silent waves across the sky. The photos shared by witnesses are similar to those from other cases identified as Chinese lanterns. Although no formal testimonies confirmed the release of these traditional lights, the variable winds of the night could explain the observed trajectory. The GEIPAN, a French organization dedicated to the study of unidentified aerial phenomena, considers this explanation highly probable.
