Summary

On May 13, 2011, around midnight, several witnesses in Paris observed a luminous phenomenon in the sky. One of them described the presence of seven bright orange spheres moving in a circular and erratic manner. Although these observations may seem unusual, the GEIPAN report concludes that they were likely Thai lanterns. These objects are known for their color, number, and altitude, and can move unpredictably due to urban turbulence caused by traffic, ventilation, or heating systems. Despite the ban on lantern launching in the city, this rule is not always followed, possibly due to ignorance. Therefore, the case was classified as "B," indicating a plausible explanation.
