On the night of June 13, 2011, a witness in Annecy-le-Vieux observed a bright object moving rapidly across the sky. The luminous point followed a descending trajectory, gradually losing intensity until it disappeared behind a cloud. No unusual noise was reported during the observation. After reviewing the data, investigators concluded that the object was the International Space Station (ISS). At the time, the ATV2 vehicle was docked to the ISS, and its brightness was sufficient to be visible to the naked eye. The witness did not see the beginning of the spacecraft's passage, which led to the mistaken interpretation of a "descent". This case was classified as "A", indicating a clear and verifiable explanation.
