🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
A witness in Bagnolet regularly observed a luminous point in the sky from their home. The object would grow in size, then shrink, and finally disappear on the horizon. The witness lived near one of the runways at Orly Airport, and on days with a north wind, planes would take off directly toward their location. The aircraft's front lights are very powerful and directional, making them appear as a continuous bright light. The red flashing lights, by contrast, are much harder to see. Additionally, when the plane deviates from the witness's line of sight, the light intensity drops significantly. The repetitive nature of the sightings supports the hypothesis that it was an aircraft. The GEIPAN classified the case as "B," indicating it is likely a plane.
