🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On July 3, 2011, around 8:30 AM, a witness in Chamalières (Puy-de-Dôme) went out to smoke on his southwest-facing terrace. There, he observed three bright white balls in the sky. Two of them moved closer and all three began to travel in a straight line from the southwest to the northwest, without the typical noise or contrails of airplanes. The witness tried to record the event with his camera and then with his phone, but they had already disappeared when he returned. The observation lasted about 60 seconds. Due to the lack of photographic evidence, a single testimony, and uncertainty about wind conditions, the GEIPAN classified this case as "C", indicating low consistency.
