🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On July 22, 2011, at around 10:15 PM, a witness in Cagnes-sur-Mer observed red-orange luminous objects silently moving across the sky. The objects appeared every ten minutes and each observation lasted three minutes before they disappeared toward the southeast. Due to the low consistency of the report and the lack of other witnesses, investigators concluded it was likely a misidentification of Thai lanterns. Although seemingly simple, the case was classified as B by GEIPAN, indicating a conventional explanation that remains somewhat uncertain.
