In July 2011, several witnesses on Iles des Pins, in New Caledonia, observed a luminous object crossing the sky diagonally towards the sea. The object, round in shape, displayed multiple colors and a visible trail, but no sound was heard. Before disappearing, a white flash was reported. Although accounts varied, all descriptions aligned with the phenomenon. Investigators concluded it was likely a fireball caused by the fall of a meteorite or space debris. Due to the lack of concrete evidence about the object's origin, the case was classified as "B," indicating a probable meteorite fall.
