On August 28, 2011, around 00:35, a driver and his wife observed silent orange points moving from northwest to east in the sky. They then distinguished seven equilateral triangles, each with a rounded shape at one of the vertices. The phenomenon lasted about a minute before disappearing quickly toward the east. Although the witnesses did not immediately identify the objects, the described features (number, color, speed) match those of Thai lanterns. The date, time (Saturday night to Sunday), and the westerly wind direction support this hypothesis.
The case was classified as "B" by the GEIPAN, indicating that it was not considered an unexplained phenomenon after analysis. However, the detailed description and coherence with the meteorological conditions of the night make it interesting for researchers of unidentified aerial phenomena. Although no additional evidence was found, the case remains an example of how common objects can be misinterpreted as anomalous under certain conditions.
