A witness noticed the presence of four lights in the sky that had not been observed when the photo was taken. These bright spots turned out to be internal reflections caused by streetlights in the camera lens. The proof lies in the fact that the lines connecting the first four streetlights to the four lights in the sky all converge at the same point. The other streetlights did not produce reflections because they were farther from the optical center of the lens. This case shows how optical phenomena can create misleading images that appear unexplainable at first glance.
