🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On August 20, 2011, divers in the Bastia region of Corsica observed an unusual luminous phenomenon in the sky. While in the sun, they saw for five minutes a bright object that remained stationary, suddenly disappeared, and then reappeared with a different shape, accompanied by a small light on its right side. The object eventually vanished completely. Although the witnesses could not identify the object, the GEIPAN concluded that it was likely a series of airplanes reflecting sunlight or with landing lights oriented toward them. The case is classified as "B," indicating a probable observation of airplanes.
