UFO in Gironde 2011, two distinct phenomena

In August 2011, a witness in Gironde observed two different aerial phenomena in the city of Bordeaux. The first occurred on August 3 at 21:00, and the second in the early hours of August 7 at 3:15. The second case was dismissed as a misidentification with Thai lanterns. Regarding the first observation, although the movement of the object could be explained by the wind, its appearance was not clear. A hot-air balloon was considered, but the description did not fit. Finally, a possible explanation was a lenticular cloud, a rare but plausible phenomenon.
