On September 30, 2011, a witness in Calvados observed a stationary bright point near the horizon. After about an hour and a half, the object began moving northward, crossing half the sky in roughly one minute. The first part of the observation could be explained as a misidentification with the star Arcturus. However, the second event, with flashing white and red lights, remains more puzzling. Unregistered military satellites remain a possibility, though they could not be confirmed. Despite a coherent account, the lack of concrete data led to the case being classified as C.
