🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
In September 2011, a witness in Arras (France) observed an orange light shaped like a saucer during the night of the 24th to the 25th. The report reached the GEIPAN almost four months later, making it impossible to file an official statement with the gendarmerie. The event lasted between 10 and 15 minutes, initially seen by one person and then confirmed by three others who witnessed the object moving away. However, only the first witness contacted the GEIPAN. Although a Chinese lantern was considered, the evidence was not conclusive. The wind direction was unclear, and the description of the movement left doubts. A helicopter taking off from the hospital might have drawn the witness's attention. With few details and only one account, the case was classified as C due to a lack of solid information.
