In October 2011, four people in a garden in Carrières-Sous-Poissy observed an oval-shaped object rapidly descending from the sky. They described it as resembling a capsule, with a metallic gray appearance. The object was unstable, spinning as it fell. Terrified, the witnesses fled the area and alerted passersby, but these could not see anything due to tree obstructions. Later, a main witness mentioned that someone else claimed to have seen the object heading toward Triel-Sur-Seine. Although the witnesses could not accurately estimate the object's size or distance, investigators noted that it moved with the wind, supporting the hypothesis of a lighter-than-air balloon. Its tubular shape and metallic look, caused by inflated plastic under sunlight, fit this type of object. The case was classified as "B," suggesting it was likely a tubular balloon, though the experience was unusual for the witnesses.
