UFO sighted in France in 2011

Summary

On October 10, 2011, a driver in the Landes region of France observed an orange glowing ball in the sky at 6:20 AM. The witness managed to photograph the phenomenon, which moved in an alternating ascending and descending trajectory. Interestingly, no sound was heard during the observation, and there were no other witnesses. After investigation, the witness considered the possibility that it was a Thai lantern, a hypothesis also accepted by the GEIPAN. Although the early hour was unusual for such appearances, the weather conditions (very light and unstable wind) supported this explanation.
