🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
A nine-year-old child, sleeping in a municipal hall in Montgras, observed for twenty minutes a multicolored light point that moved slowly and then stopped. The testimony, although not exactly matching the appearance of a fixed star, was investigated by an investigator who checked the viewing directions. The observed position corresponded to that of the bright star Sirius. Given the context —a child in an unfamiliar place, half-awake— the slight inconsistency in the description is not surprising. The GEIPAN classified the case as "B", meaning a likely observation of Sirius.
