Red light in the Paris sky

Summary

On December 20, 2011, at around 22:05, a witness in Paris observed a red object moving in a straight and silent line. The object had lights at its center and its behavior resembled that of traditional Thai lanterns. These lanterns, often released during festivals, typically drift with the wind, which that day was coming from the west, as meteorological records confirm. Although the witness did not mention floating lights, the characteristics align with those of Thai lanterns. Given the holiday season, it is possible someone released such a light into the sky.
