Summary

On February 4, 2012, around 11:15 PM, witnesses in the Yvelines and Aube regions of France observed a silent luminous phenomenon moving across the sky. The object emitted blue-green and orange lights and followed a straight trajectory. The testimonies matched the typical characteristics of an atmospheric entry event. However, the direction towards the southwest and the short duration of just a few seconds ruled out the possibility of a space debris re-entry. The GEIPAN, the French organization responsible for investigating unidentified aerial phenomena, classified this case as "B", indicating a probable atmospheric entry of a meteoroid (meteorite fall). Although the object was not recovered, the witnesses' descriptions and the event's behavior suggest a meteorite fall.
