UFO in France, observation of bright points

Summary

On March 13, 2012, a witness in Riberac (Dordogne) observed at 20:35 five bright points passing quickly in formation along a descending trajectory. The unusual aspect was that no sound was heard during the observation. A second, nearly simultaneous testimony was reported that same evening from Saint-Mathieu de Treviers, in the Occitania region. The second witness saw something very similar, but from the west. Although the two observations seem different, it is very likely they both saw the same phenomenon. The GEIPAN, the French organization responsible for investigating unidentified aerial phenomena, concluded it was probably an atmospheric entry of meteoroids or space debris. For this reason, the case was classified in category B, indicating a likely observation of a meteorite or space debris.
