Summary

A witness reported an observation on April 27, 2012, above the lakes of Grec and Pérols in Carnon Plage. The yellow luminous phenomenon had a crescent moon shape and appeared almost static before moving back and forth. No noise was heard during the 40-minute observation. No other testimonies were collected about this phenomenon. The direction indicated by the witness, according to his sketch, was very close to the Moon's position in the sky. The video shows that the observed object was indeed the Moon, occasionally hidden by clouds. The apparent movements toward the west were an optical illusion caused by the movement of the cloud background toward the east. This case was classified as "A": observation of the Moon with optical illusion regarding its movement.
