On May 28, 2012, an amateur astronomer in Normandy observed a bright phenomenon in the direction of Mars. At 1:10 AM, he noticed a white trail followed by a red-orange fireball. The object disappeared behind the roof of a church in the northwest direction, accompanied by a low detonation sound. The next day, the witness searched his surroundings but found no ground traces of the event. Despite the lack of physical evidence, the investigation report includes objective elements: the object's shape, color, and behavior, the presence of a trail and characteristic sounds, as well as other testimonies and video recordings that describe the same phenomenon during the same time frame. These details allow the conclusion that it was a fireball, that is, a meteorite in free fall, observed from the Normandy and Parisian regions. The case was classified as "A", indicating a certain observation of an astronomical phenomenon.
