DOMMARTIN 2012 UFO CLASSIFIED AS LANTERN

Summary

A UFO sighting in Dommartin (France) on June 24, 2012 was classified as a probable lantern. A witness and her husband observed several yellow-white light points that initially appeared stationary, but then quickly moved toward the horizon without making any noise. Although only one testimony was collected, a photo was taken. The GEIPAN investigators considered these to be Thai lanterns, similar to other night observations. The gendarmerie reached the same conclusion, so the case was classified as category B.
