🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On July 1, 2012, around 11 p.m., a witness observed the silent passage of several orange lights moving along a slightly curved trajectory towards the east. These lights suddenly changed direction, heading north before quickly disappearing. Although the phenomenon seemed unusual, the GEIPAN report concluded it was likely the observation of Thai lanterns. These lights matched the typical characteristics of such objects: orange color, smooth and silent movement driven by the wind, and disappearance after a few minutes. The report did not investigate the possible launch site, though it suggested it could have been at the Parc du Prieuré at the end of the Bé Festival.
