🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
In July 2012, two witnesses in the Tarn observed three white lights and one blue light arranged in a gray triangle shape crossing the sky. Initially thought to be satellites, the witnesses insisted they perceived a dark triangle between the lights, making the phenomenon more unusual. The GEIPAN could not clearly link the observation to known satellites, despite considering two as possible candidates. Due to the lack of independent witnesses and no photographic or video evidence, the case was classified as "C", meaning no clear explanation.
The testimony, while coherent, lacks sufficient elements for a definitive resolution. The date of the observation is also somewhat ambiguous, further complicating the analysis. Cases like this, where human perception and sky observations align in strange ways, remain of interest to researchers of unexplained phenomena. Although nothing can be concluded with certainty, the description of a dark triangle between the lights maintains a certain mystery.
