Summary

On August 15, 2012, a witness in Thorigne-d'Anjou was observing the stars from a terrace when he noticed unusual flashing colored lights moving in an atypical way. Intrigued, he changed his observation location. After considering various explanations, none fully satisfied him. Two family members confirmed the sighting, suggesting it could be a helicopter or a satellite. The phenomenon lasted 15 minutes without any noise and then disappeared from view. Although six hypotheses were analyzed, only two matched the description well. The GEIPAN eventually classified the case as category B, likely attributing it to a helicopter or a recreational aircraft. However, the quality of the testimony was considered average, as only one witness completed the questionnaire and there were no photos or additional testimonies.
