🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
A witness in Charente-Maritime observed a bright, slow-moving phenomenon in the sky on August 8 and 9, 2012. Although initially intriguing, the descriptions and timings matched the known passes of the International Space Station (ISS) on those nights. Calsky records showed that the ISS passed over the area at times very close to those reported by the witness. This led the GEIPAN to classify the case as "A", indicating that it was a legitimate observation of the ISS on two separate occasions.
