🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
Two people in Arles, France, observed bright objects in the sky on August 11, 2012. While fishing at a usual spot, they noticed luminous elements moving quickly and silently, leaving trails behind them. One person filmed and photographed the phenomenon, which caused some surprise. Although the images resemble typical aircraft contrails, the dry air and morning light made the trails appear extremely bright and gave the impression of unusual speed. The case was classified by the GEIPAN as "A," meaning attributed to aircraft condensation trails.
