🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
In August 2012, several witnesses in Brue-Auriac observed a very bright object moving rapidly across the sky from west to east. The event occurred at night and was noted for its unusual speed and trajectory. The GEIPAN, the French group responsible for studying unidentified aerial phenomena, reviewed the case and classified it as "A," meaning the observation was confirmed. After analyzing the data, they concluded that the object was not a UFO, but the International Space Station (ISS), whose presence matched exactly with the witnesses' account. The ISS, extremely bright at that time, appeared in the sky at 22:11 and disappeared around 22:17, as it entered Earth's shadow, explaining its sudden disappearance.
