On September 10, 2012, a witness in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence observed a bright orange-white phenomenon that suddenly disappeared without making any noise. The testimony was brief and singular, making immediate identification difficult. However, investigators considered factors such as the event's duration (about 20 seconds), its elongated shape and horizontal movement, and its position in the sky. These elements matched the characteristics of a known satellite, ISIS 1, emerging from Earth's shadow. Although other possibilities are not ruled out, the case is classified as "B," suggesting a plausible but not definitive explanation.
