On September 16, 2012, a witness in Bons-en-Chablais (France) reported a silent white light moving across the sky. The phenomenon was observed for about 4 seconds, following an east-west trajectory until it disappeared behind the Jura mountains. The witness noted that no sound was heard during the observation, adding to the mystery. Despite the detailed account, no other witnesses confirmed the event. Investigators concluded it could be a natural atmospheric reentry, such as a bolide or meteor. However, no additional testimonies supported this explanation. The case was classified as type B, suggesting it was most likely a bolide observation, though other interpretations remain possible.
