On October 5, 2012, a witness in Dammartin-en-Goele observed for one minute an orange-colored, oval-shaped object with wings on each side moving silently across the sky. No other testimonies or photographic or video evidence were collected. Due to the lack of precise data on the object's azimuth, angular height, distance, size, or altitude, its nature cannot be determined with certainty. The GEIPAN classified this case as "C", meaning an unidentified phenomenon. Although the testimony is unique, it lacks essential details needed for a solid evaluation. Investigators considered the possibility that it could be a common object, such as a night bird illuminated by urban lighting or a military aircraft with lights off.
