On October 9, 2012, a witness in Limoges observed a fast-moving white light with a small blueish halo across a mostly clear sky. Five minutes later, the witness recognized the passage of a shooting star. The description of a white point crossing the sky in seconds suggested a possible fireball, meaning the entry of a meteoroid into the atmosphere. However, this event was not recorded in the meteor observers' database, and the lack of a luminous trail is unusual. Although the fireball hypothesis seems plausible—especially considering the activity of the Delta Aurigids that day—the provided information was insufficient to confirm this explanation. Due to lack of data, the GEIPAN classified the case as "C".
